Bangladeshi Products in Kunming Fair attract visitors |
 Bangladeshi products displayed in Kunming Export and Import Fair that began on Saturday attracted the visitors, including foreign entrepreneurs. A Bangladesh business delegation, showcasing domestic products in the Kunming fair, raised several pertinent points to enhance trade with Kunming. During various level meetings with Chinese counterparts the Bangladeshi entrepreneurs suggested for Cargo service and other necessary support for smooth shipping of goods to Kunming, a land-locked province. A 38-member delegation of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by its president Zafar Osman attended the inaugural ceremony of the 17th Export Import Fair and 2nd South Asian Commodities Fair at Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Centre on Saturday. Governor of Yunan Province Qin Guangrong inaugurated the fairs. Commerce ministers of SAARC and ASEAN countries including commerce minister Faruk Khan of Bangladesh attended the inaugural function. Bangladeshi products showcased include textiles, apparels, jute and jute goods, leather and leather items, saris, imitation jewellery, service products like tourism and travelling and real estate products which attracted the visitors of the fair. Suman Talukder, Managing Director of SSBCL group who is in the delegation told that a number of useful business sessions were held on the sidelines of the fair. Bangladeshi businessmen are expecting more and more China-Bangladesh trade and investment cooperation as an outcome of the participation of the fair, he said.
